Re-imagining Scotland’s Potential

Scotland 2050 is a space to talk honestly about where our country is headed. We believe the best ideas happen when people from every walk of life, community members, business owners, students and politicians, come together to shape our future. No jargon. No agendas. Just an open conversation about the Scotland we want to live in by 2050.

In short: everyone.  The future isn't just for experts or leaders; it’s for all of us. Whether you’re a local volunteer, a student, a CEO, or just someone who cares about what a future Scotland looks like, you belong in the room. If you want to be part of the conversation, we want you there.

Not at all.  You don’t need to be a Director, a politician, or a policy expert to join in.  We intentionally bring together a mix of people because a national vision only works if it includes the voices of the people living and working in our communities every day.

Tickets are completely free.  We’ve made Scotland 2050 a free ticketed event because we passionately believe that cost shouldn't be a barrier to having your voice heard. 

This is not a talking shop. While we have speakers to set the scene, the day is designed around you. It's about listening, connecting and finding common ground across different parts of Scottish life so we can actually move forward together.

The next conference will take place on 8 June 2027 at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.
