Announcing the third Scotland 2050 conference
Newsletter sent on 27 October 2026
We are delighted to announce the third Scotland 2050 conference, which will take place on 8 June 2027 at the Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh. Scotland 2050 is shaping up to become much more than Scotland's leading one day conference that brings together people from the world of business, politics and civic society.
Since we launched Scotland 2050 in 2025, we have held the Scotland 2050 hustings in the run up to the Scottish Parliament election, issued the Scotland 2050 manifesto, which was sent to all MSPs both digitally and in print, and most recently written to the UK Treasury ahead of the UK Government's Budget with seven key asks. You can find all of it on the Scotland 2050 website, www.scotland-2050.co.uk.
It is an absolute privilege to announce our keynote speakers for next year's conference:
Keynote speakers
Angela Rayner MP
Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government
Sir Tom Hunter
Scottish business tycoon and philanthropist
Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP
Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats
Michael Marra MSP
Leader of the Scottish Labour Party
Harriet Cross MP
Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland and Shadow Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero
We will be announcing more speakers and panellists over the coming weeks and months. To be part of the conversation about Scotland's future and to secure your free ticket, please click below.
